About

Will I be able to make a payment on site?

We are accepting payments by card, cash and BACS. We have a process in place to handle money safely, which we will guide you through should you need to make a payment using one of these methods.

 

What size pitches are available?

Our storage facility has over 1,000 hard-standing outdoor pitches to accommodate both single and twin-axle caravans.

We also have specially designated spaces for larger caravans, motorhomes, Winnebago or any other large assets you may wish to store.

How secure will my belongings be?

Here at Secure Storage, we are passionate about security. We are CaSSOA Platinum Award holder site.

Our secure site is monitored and managed 24/7, and our additional security measures include:

  • Secure perimeter fencing made up of palisade security fencing and prison-welded mesh fencing.
  • Single point of entry, monitored 24/7 with multifaceted security measures.
  • Fob-controlled air-lock barriers.
  • ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition Camera).
  • CCTV and Thermal camera monitored system.
  • Fire risk assessed and maintained fire points.

How long can I hire a pitch for?

Our minimum rental is one calendar month.

We do not have a maximum rental period, meaning you can store your caravan or motorhome safely with us for as long as you wish.

Why Should I use Secure Storage South Yorkshire?

As a Platinum Award member of CaSSOA, we must have a high standard of security on our site, which we uphold to the fullest.

Our secure site is monitored and managed 24 hours a day to ensure the highest level of security is maintained.

In addition to the latest CCTV and thermal analytical imaging, watching over the site 365 days a year, our dual ANPR and card fob airlock barrier system prevents unauthorised access to vehicles entering the site during operational hours.

With monitored entry through our airlock barrier system and thermal / CCTV cameras covering the perimeter fencing, you can rest assured your caravan or motorhome is secure.

Can I wash my caravan or motorhome?

Can I use a ladder to work on my caravan or motorhome?

We do not permit customers to use ladders on-site to adhere to health and safety measures.

Costs & Payment

How much does caravan and motorhome storage cost?

Our outdoor pitches are priced at competitive rates.

There is a significant financial incentive to store your caravan or motorhome over a long-term/annual basis.

Do you have a minimum term?

Our minimum rental term is one calendar month.

What are your payment terms?

Payment for all types of storage are to be paid up front of your agreed period with a minimum of 30 days to terminate your agreement. 

Is a deposit and/or admin fee required?

Customers have the option to purchase security fobs to operate the barrier system. There is a non-refundable charge of £30.This will entitle the customer to two fobs for our barrier system, which they will own.

 

How much notice do I need to give to terminate my contract?

We require a minimum of 30 day's notice.

What if I leave part way through my agreement?

If you leave part way through your agreement, you will still be charged for the full month or up until the end date of your notice period.

Please speak to the team in reception should you leave part way through the month, and we can explain the details regarding any money owed.

Can I pay by Direct Debit?

Yes, fees can be paid via Direct Debit.

There is no option to split your payment across the year and pay a monthly direct debit.

Can I pay by Bank Transfer?

Customers can pay their electronic invoice by BACS using the secure link provided on our invoice.

Access

Can I access my caravan or motorhome when I want?

In short – no.

We take the security of your belongings seriously, and as such, we do not allow 24/7 access to our site.

This is so we can guarantee the items in our care are, at all times, secure. You can, however, access your caravan during our office working hours.

How do I enter the site?

You can enter in two ways:

In a vehicle through the airlock barrier system with ANPR and FOB, you must wait for the green light before proceeding. The entrance barrier into the storage compound will lift automatically, leading into storage. The exit barrier from storage will also lift automatically, and then you will exit through the airlock system.

If walking as a pedestrian, you can use your fob to access the site using the pedestrian gate positioned at the front of the site opposite the car park and our new gate next to the car park. This must be closed behind you to prevent unauthorised access.

What happens if I lose my key fob?

If you lose your key fob, you must report it to us as soon as possible so we can deactivate it from our security system.

Any replacement or additional fobs will be charged at £15 per fob.

Before You Arrive

Can I just turn up?

We are in the fortunate position that we consistently run close to capacity for our caravan and motorhome storage, as such, we advise that you call ahead to ensure that we have a plot available, which is the right size for your requirements.

Can I book and pay online?

We pride ourselves on our stringent security measures, which include meeting our new customers face-to-face to complete paperwork and verify identification.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Please bring a picture ID (i.e. passport or driving licence) and proof of address when securing your pitch space. 

We also require various information about the asset stored for our records.
